You are a Marketing / Business Development Manager / Asst. Manager specializing in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (International Market) at Progress Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. in Navi Mumbai. Your primary responsibility is to oversee marketing and business development activities for APIs in regions such as SEA, LATAM, MENA, SAARC, and CIS. Your key duties include identifying and cultivating new business opportunities in the global API market, meeting sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and devising and executing sales strategies to penetrate new markets and customer segments. You will also be in charge of nurturing strong relationships with key clients, being the main contact point for customer inquiries, and conducting regular client visits to promote products and gather market insights. Market analysis and reporting are integral parts of your role, involving monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing fluctuations. You will be required to share market insights and strategic recommendations with senior management, prepare sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and regular MIS reports. Additionally, you will coordinate with internal teams like logistics, regulatory, and finance to ensure smooth commercial operations, as well as collaborate with R&D, Operations, and SCM to ensure on-time product delivery and meet customer expectations. Your success in this position will be supported by your strong understanding of the API market and the pharmaceutical industry, proven track record in business development and client relationship management, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in MS Office applications, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Experience in inter-departmental coordination, knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements related to APIs, and expertise in handling customer complaints and issue resolution are also desired traits. Ideally, you hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, while a Master's degree or MBA could be advantageous.
