About Client Hiring for One of the Most Prestigious Multinational Corporations! Job Title : API Automation Engineer Qualification :Any Graduate or Above Total Experience : 7 -10 years Must Have Skills : Strong experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services . Expertise in API testing tools such as Postman , SoapUI , RestAssured , or equivalent. Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Java , Python , JavaScript , or Ruby . Solid understanding of JSON , XML , OAuth , JWT , and other relevant API technologies and protocols. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins , GitLab CI , or similar. Familiarity with version control tools like Git . Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Experience with performance testing using tools such as JMeter , LoadRunner , or similar. Familiar with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence . Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams Core Java: Extensive knowledge and expertise in Core Java, proficient in object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns. Rest Assured: Strong knowledge on API automation using REST Assured. Must have knowledge to build a framework from very scratch. Selenium: Strong hands-on experience with Selenium for automated web testing, including script development, execution, and maintenance. Version Control: Proficient in using GitHub for version control and code collaboration, ensuring efficient management and tracking of code changes. Roles and Responsibilities : Design, implement, and maintain automated API tests using popular frameworks like Postman , RestAssured , SoapUI , JUnit , TestNG , and others. Develop and execute performance, load, and stress tests for APIs to ensure scalability and reliability. Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for API integration. Write and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports. Review API documentation for completeness and ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements. Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins , GitLab CI , or other relevant tools. Provide feedback on API design and implementation based on test results and best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and identify root causes of API issues, providing solutions in collaboration with development teams. Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks to ensure high reusability and maintainability. Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives to contribute to the team's success. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in API testing and automation best practices.
