APAC Power BI & SQL Developer

As a Senior Power BI Developer at Dentsu in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in delivering cutting-edge business analytics using the latest BI tools to drive the organization towards a fully digital future. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with the APAC Data Architect & Engineer to design and develop BI semantic models and dashboard solutions based on multi-market business requirements. - Transform complex datasets into insightful dashboards and reports for informed decision-making. - Understand stakeholders" data needs, define implementation requirements, and deliver solutions using best practices of data modeling and dashboard design. - Create technical documentation detailing metric definitions, data transformation techniques, and security protocols. - Implement row-level security and maintain Power BI infrastructure efficiency. - Independently manage projects using formal project management and agile methodology. - Provide technical guidance, training, and direction to BI Consumers. - Contribute to BI road map/vision development and collaborate with BI & Analytic teams. - Stay updated on the latest Power BI features, updates, and best practices. - Support existing analytics and Power BI solutions across the APAC region with ad-hoc SQL development and reporting. **Qualifications:** - 7-10 years of Power BI Development experience with expertise in designing models and dashboards. - Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, DAX, Tabular Editor, and related tools. - Experience in Power BI Premium capacity administration and SQL development. - Knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence, data modeling, and visualization. - Familiarity with Azure Cloud databases, ETL framework, and Microsoft Fabric technologies. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Delivery-focused with a positive attitude in challenging environments. - Experience in finance data and integration will be advantageous. **Other Key Competencies:** - Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Strong database design skills and understanding of normalized and dimensional form databases. - Knowledge of data warehousing strategies and techniques. - Experience with cloud-based data integration tools and Azure Dev Ops or JIRA. - Familiarity with agile development techniques.
