The Electromagnetics Lead leads the design in Electromagnetic (Motor) solutions towards delivering state of the art Electric Powertrains which are best in class performance and energy efficiency. This role requires deep knowledge of Electromagnetic design, Motor design, Motor Controls combined with a strategic approach to project management. Experience: 5-7 Years Location: Ahmedabad Lead, mentor, and manage a team of EM (Motor) designers and engineers. Lead the design and development of electromagnetic motor systems, including but not limited to permanent magnet motors, induction motors, and synchronous motors for various applications. Utilize advanced simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Maxwell, COMSOL, FEMM, MATLAB) to model, analyze, and optimize the electromagnetic performance of motors. Address issues such as torque production, efficiency, heat generation, and power density. Drive optimization efforts across motor design parameters, including electromagnetic field distribution, thermal management, and material selection. Ensure designs balance performance, cost, manufacturability, and sustainability. Prepare and maintain thorough documentation of design processes, test plans, results, specifications, and reports. Ensure clear communication of design and testing details to internal teams and stakeholders. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience with Electromagnetic analysis and Motor design for Automotive or similar applications. In-depth knowledge of electromagnetic theory and its application in motor design. Proficiency with motor simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Maxwell, COMSOL, FEMM, MATLAB, or equivalent). Strong understanding of motor design principles, including torque generation, efficiency, thermal management, and power density.
