Oversee OHC Operations : Manage the day-to-day operations of the Occupational Health Center. Ensure the center operates smoothly and effectively in delivering healthcare services to employees. Maintain and improve operational processes for better efficiency and quality of care. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight : Ensure the OHC adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations related to occupational health. Maintain records and reports related to health and safety compliance. Monitor and update the company on changes in occupational health laws, regulations, and best practices. Employee Health and Wellness Programs : Develop, implement, and manage employee health programs (e.g., annual health checks, immunization programs, ergonomic assessments). Promote employee wellness initiatives to prevent work-related injuries or illnesses. Provide counseling and advice on workplace health concerns. Health Surveillance : Ensure regular health screenings for employees (e.g., vision, hearing, respiratory tests). Monitor employees exposed to hazardous materials or environments and conduct necessary health surveillance. Injury and Illness Management : Oversee the handling of workplace injuries and illnesses, ensuring proper medical attention, recordkeeping, and reporting. Liaise with HR and management on employee absences due to health-related issues and provide return-to-work assistance. Team Leadership : Supervise and manage the OHC team, including nurses, doctors, health and safety officers, and other support staff. Provide ongoing training and development for OHC personnel. Data Management and Reporting : Maintain health records for employees, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. Generate reports on health metrics, injury statistics, and OHC performance for upper management. Use data to identify trends and recommend improvements to enhance employee health and safety. Emergency Response Management : Be prepared for medical emergencies, providing initial treatment or directing staff to handle emergency situations. Train employees in basic first aid, CPR, and other emergency response procedures. Budget and Resource Management : Oversee the OHC budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources and efficient utilization of funds. Manage inventory and procurement of medical supplies and equipment. Qualifications: Education : Degree in Occupational Health, Nursing, Public Health, or related fields. Experience : Experience in managing health and safety programs or working in occupational health is preferred. Skills : Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
