Position open in Delhi and/or Chennai As the Associate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of our Company while aligning our financial operations with our growth objectives. Reporting to the Chief Financial officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of our investment portfolio in Series A/ Late stage /Pre IPO fund, identifying areas for improvement, and providing insights to inform future investment decisions. Key Roles and Responsibilities Portfolio Monitoring: Track and analyze the financial and operational performance of portfolio companies, including financial statement analysis, industry research, and market trends. Work with portfolio company to design and implement changes in KPIs, MIS and regular reporting. Review quarterly / annual board meeting decks and identify areas / matters to be discussed Review of Annual operating plan and preparation of ANOVA (analysis of variance) with Actuals. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities within the portfolio and develop strategies to mitigate or capitalize on them. Investment insights: Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the investment team to inform future investments decisions. Analyse internal audit applicability and help portfolio companies to select IA firms and support in scope finalisation. Support portfolio in Statutory Audit scope finalization and timeliness Audit Management & Compliance: Manage valuation of portfolio companies in coordination with investment team of respective funds. Give an overview of compliances applicable wrt direct / indirect taxation, labour laws, operational licences etc in the portfolio company and also implement a compliance tracker. Qualifications, skills and competencies A qualified CA with articleship from a reputed firm. Between 1 and 3 years' experience in Financial due diligence in a Corporate/MNC. Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Job summary You will play a key role in supporting Anicut Capital’s Angel Fund by sourcing, evaluating, and executing early-stage investments across sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the pre-investment side, including deal sourcing, founder interactions, due diligence, market and financial analysis, and preparation of investment materials, while gaining hands-on exposure to India’s dynamic startup ecosystem. Roles & Responsibilities Sourcing Investments: Proactively identify and source high-potential early-stage startups across sectors. Develop and maintain a network with founders, accelerators, incubators, and ecosystem players to build a quality pipeline. Screening and Evaluating Investment Proposals: Conduct initial and detailed evaluations of startups, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and preliminary financial reviews. Participate in founder meetings to assess business models, market potential, and founder-market fit. Building Investment Thesis: Conduct sectoral and thematic research to support pipeline building and investment decision-making. Track emerging sectors and macro trends to develop perspectives on new investment areas. Overseeing Financial and Business Diligence: Assist in due diligence processes, including customer calls, reference checks, and basic financial and operational analysis. Analyse financial statements for early-stage businesses to support investment decisions. Preparation of Investment Materials: Prepare investment memos and presentation materials for internal discussions and Investment Committee meetings. Assist in data collection and preparation of reports for internal tracking and stakeholder communication. Relationship Management with Founders: Build and maintain strong working relationships with founders through the diligence process. Represent Anicut Angel Fund at ecosystem events, demo days, and networking sessions as required. Qualifications, skills and competencies Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or related disciplines. 0–2 years of experience in consulting, venture capital, investment banking, or the startup ecosystem. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Ability to Conduct market and competitive analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A strong interest in startups, venture capital, and the Indian entrepreneurial ecosystem.
