Android Framework Expert

As an Android Application & Service/API Developer, you will be responsible for developing applications and services in Managed code (Java, Kotlin) and Native (C/C++) for Android platforms. Your expertise in Android Framework internals including Window Manager, Activity Manager, OOM/LMK, etc., will be crucial for the successful development of Android applications. You will also be involved in System Service & interface development and ensuring Android R/Generic Kernel Image (GKI Compliance). Key Responsibilities: - Develop GKI compliant Kernel drivers and ensure Kernel stability assurance & support - Implement Kernel memory management modules and Android Vendor Modules - Develop HAL AIDL/HIDL modules and participate in VTS test development - Work on System Power/Performance management at Android kernel and framework level Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Android Application & Service/API development - In-depth knowledge of Android Framework internals - Experience in Kernel driver development and memory management - Ability to work on HAL AIDL/HIDL module development and VTS test development As a leader in this role, you will be expected to integrate developed functionality with native/managed clients in user space and collaborate with the core development team on power/performance/thermal solutions. Your responsibilities will also include system and unit test case development and resolving commercialization issues. In addition, good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.
