Android Developer Intern

You are a motivated Android Developer Intern who will be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining Android mobile applications using Java and/or Kotlin. Your responsibilities include implementing UI/UX designs, integrating RESTful APIs and backend services, debugging, testing, and optimizing apps to ensure smooth performance. You are expected to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers. You will learn Android architecture patterns, work with Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack components, and maintain app compatibility across different Android versions and device types. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Android mobile applications using Java and/or Kotlin - Implement UI/UX designs into Android app screens - Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services into mobile applications - Debug, test, and optimize apps to ensure smooth performance, responsiveness, and minimal bugs - Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code - Participate in code reviews and follow good software development practices - Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers - Learn Android architecture patterns, working with Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack components, etc. - Maintain app compatibility across different Android versions and device types Qualifications Required: - Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field - Basic knowledge of programming with Java and/or Kotlin - Familiarity with Android development environment: Android Studio, Android SDK - Understanding of core Android components and lifecycle (Activities, Fragments, etc.) - Exposure to REST APIs, JSON, and how to integrate remote data into apps - Good problem solving and debugging skills - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Willingness to learn and adapt The company prefers local candidates for this position.
