Description
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing Board Support Packages (BSPs) for various embedded platforms, particularly focusing on the TDA4x platform. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing BSPs for embedded systems and adapting them for custom hardware designs - Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure compatibility and performance of software components - Debugging hardware-software interface issues and resolving them efficiently - Designing and implementing embedded software solutions in coordination with cross-functional teams - Optimizing BSPs for performance, power consumption, and memory usage - Conducting board bring-up, hardware diagnostics, and low-level debugging on new hardware platforms - Maintaining documentation including design specifications, integration guides, and troubleshooting manuals - Integrating camera pipelines and implementing Linux device drivers for video capture, image processing, and display-related functions Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - 5+ years of experience in developing BSPs for embedded systems - Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded Linux development - Understanding of hardware architecture, bootloader development, and device drivers - Hands-on experience with TDA4x platform and related peripherals - Knowledge of kernel-level programming, device trees, and real-time operating systems - Proficiency in using debugging tools like JTAG, GDB, and Logic Analyzers - Experience with hardware-software co-design and optimization - Previous work on camera pipelines and sensor drivers optimization Preferred qualifications include experience with safety-critical systems, build systems like Yocto or Buildroot, version control systems like Git, and familiarity with image processing, computer vision, and video encoding/decoding. Your soft skills should include excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment. You should also be adept at managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.,
