* About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager / Plant Incharge to oversee the entire setup and daily operations of our DMM plant. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective installation and production processes while maintaining high-quality standards. As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire production operation, including staff, equipment, raw materials, production planning and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Management Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tile adhesives plant. Manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve productivity. 2. Team Leadership & Staff Management Lead, motivate, and manage plant staff, including supervisors, operators, and maintenance engineers. Perform regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide coaching and feedback. Ensure proper training and development for all staff to improve skills and knowledge. 3. Quality Control Ensure product quality standards and regulatory requirements are met. Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and equipment. Implement and monitor quality control procedures to reduce defects and improve product consistency. 4. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain and monitor environmental compliance with relevant regulations. Conduct safety training sessions for staff and promote safety awareness on the shop floor. 5. Maintenance and Equipment Management Oversee plant maintenance, ensuring equipment is in optimal condition and downtime is minimized. Develop a preventive maintenance schedule and ensure timely execution. Manage spare parts inventory to prevent disruptions in production. 6. Inventory Management Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory to ensure smooth production flow. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal inventory levels. 7. Compliance and Reporting Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, company policies, and legal requirements. Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance, safety, and quality metrics to senior management. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Chemical/ Mechanical/ Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in plant management or operations, preferably in the tile adhesives, cement, or related manufacturing sectors. Proven experience in managing large-scale manufacturing operations. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Sound knowledge of plant machinery, maintenance, and production processes. Key Skills: Leadership, Operational Efficiency, Problem Solving, Time Management, Safety Management, Financial Acumen Technical Knowledge: Understanding of plant machinery and the production process in the tile adhesives and cement industries. Preferred Experience: Experience with ERP, Data Management system, and manufacturing execution systems (MES). Knowledge of ISO 9001, IS 15477, ISO 14001, and OHSAS standards. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
