As a Software Engineer at UBS, your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and enhancing digital products and technology services for clients and employees - Implementing a wide range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user requirements and creating new features to automated testing and deployment - Ensuring the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by adhering to digital principles and incorporating both functional and non-functional requirements - Incorporating observability into solutions, monitoring production health, assisting in incident resolution, and addressing root causes of risks and issues - Understanding, representing, and advocating for client needs - Sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues, contributing to hiring processes, and actively participating in the engineering culture and internal communities. Joining the WMA Data Foundational Platforms & Services Crew, you will be part of the team that fuels the WMA CDIO, providing foundational, disruptive, and modern platforms and technologies. The mission revolves around a shared foundational platform across UBS to maximize business value. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Over 10 years of proven experience in UI development - Proficiency in coding and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze websites using relevant languages - Ongoing education and research in UI development trends, design strategies, and technologies - Strong written and interpersonal communication skills - Effective prioritization and management of multiple projects and milestones - Advanced problem-solving abilities and code optimization skills - Experience in tailoring code to meet personalized client needs - Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment to create high-performing interfaces - Proficiency with visual design tools such as Adobe Photoshop.
