As a MongoDB and API Developer at our company located in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in the development of high-quality mobile games. We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in database management, integration, scalability, and flexibility, particularly with MongoDB, to optimize and manage the backend system of our games. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining MongoDB databases to support game functionalities. You will be involved in API integration for all modules of the game, optimizing database queries for performance and scalability, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability in a high-volume, real-time environment, and collaborating with game developers to integrate database solutions with game logic. Additionally, you will monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, implement solutions for high reliability, participate in data schema design, and data modeling for new features. Staying updated with the latest MongoDB features and best practices to leverage them in our game development is essential for this role. To be successful in this position, you must have proven experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases, a strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, sharding, and replication in MongoDB, and experience with database optimization techniques. Familiarity with Node.js, Express, or other backend technologies relevant to mobile game development is required, along with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Moreover, knowledge of Backend and Cloud storage APIs, OAuth Authentication APIs for user logins through various accounts, Social Integration APIs, Push Notification APIs, Analytics APIs, Multiplayer APIs, AI APIs for dialogs, Media APIs, Real-Time Data and Leaderboard APIs, Data Synchronization APIs, Content Delivery Network (CDN) APIs, Server-Side Logic, Game Economy APIs, Game Updates and Patches APIs, Customer Support and Helpdesk Integration, Game Event scheduling and management APIs, and Cloud Infrastructure will be advantageous. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to write efficient, maintainable code, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Experience in mobile game development or familiarity with game design concepts, as well as knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for database management, and background in using MongoDB Atlas or similar database-as-a-service platforms are considered nice to have.
