In this role, your responsibilities will include planning and monitoring Internal and Customer FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) schedules. You will review and interpret project quality and engineering documents to ensure compliance with customer requirements and international standards. Identifying and defining test requirements and procedures specific to metering systems will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will prepare and maintain FAT procedures and checklists, ensuring the availability and calibration of testing instruments and calibration cylinders. Conducting incoming material inspections and routine quality checks at the Talegaon facility will also be a key responsibility. You will be responsible for performing internal testing of Analytical Systems, Sample Handling Systems (SHS), and related instrumentation during pre-FAT. Generating, tracking, and issuing Calibration and FAT reports will be part of your role, along with leading FAT sessions with customers to demonstrate system functionality, communication, and logic testing. Investigating equipment failures during testing or warranty claims, supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions (CA), and identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities will also be within your scope of work. Ensuring compliance with quality standards, procedures, work instructions, templates, and demonstrating adherence during internal, project, or external audits will be essential. To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum qualification of a Diploma or Bachelors in Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline, with 2 to 8 years of experience in testing functions related to instrumentation and control systems. Hands-on experience with the configuration, testing, calibration, and communication of Process Liquid and Gas Analyzers like GC, CEMS etc. is required. Familiarity with Analytical Systems, Sample Handling Systems, and Control Panels is also necessary. Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills are essential, with experience supporting both domestic and international customers. Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, cause & effect matrices, and technical specifications is expected. Knowledge of international standards such as NEC, ISO 9001, and IEC (Area Classification, Ingress Protection) will be beneficial. Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Service sectors is preferred. You will work in coordination with Analytical Engineers & / or Sr. Designer on Process Gas & Liquid projects, assignments such as Designing, Drafting, Bills of Materials to meet Analytical project requirements meeting project schedule. Each drawing package must contain precise details specifying dimensions, codes, materials, customer interface details, utility connections & area classification. Your responsibilities will include following specifications and calculations to build various technical drawings such as System Flow, P&ID, General Arrangement, Electrical Wiring, Probe Installation drawings, Network architecture diagrams, Mounting and fabrication drawings, interface / utility connections, Bill of Material etc. Deliver drawings and designs on time, strictly meeting Emerson's outstanding quality standards. Develop system designs from scratch or starting from proven references. Assist in maintaining a strong reference database for quick referencing, and crafting/maintaining tools like symbol libraries for efficiency enhancements. Ensure system designs meet required specifications, standards, safety, and hazardous area requirements. Estimate Enclosure/Plate/Shelter dimensions, orientations, and equipment layouts with space and volume optimization. Ensure the equipment layout is done with maintainability, accessibility, aesthetics, safety, operability, quick removal and installation possibility, and equipment clearances without obstructions. Adhere to regulations, industry standards, and codes. Be aware of different drafting techniques like 1st angle and 3rd angle methods. Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD with efficient and good drafting practices. Follow a checklist for self-review of drawings before squad check review, peer reviewing drawings, and following feedback/comments received. Identify potential operational issues and redesign systems to improve functionality, including lessons learned in the past. Adhere to PMO processes. You are expected to anticipate customer needs and provide services that are beyond expectations. Facilitate open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and customers. Deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. For this role, you will need a Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical/Electronic/E&TC Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent work experience with relevant exposure to an analytical design environment. Extensive knowledge of and experience with CAD tools like AutoCAD (2D/3D), Solid Works (3D), etc. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field of Analytical, Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, Oil and Gas, Power, Fertilizer Process Industry. Practical experience with analytical systems is an advantage. Knowledge of analytical system components like tubing, fittings, valves, flanges, probes, coolers, pumps, analyzers, gas chromatographs, liquid analyzers. Knowledge of CEMS, SWAS, Process Gas Analyzers Sample Conditioning systems, Plate, Rack, Cabinet, Shelter mounted systems. Proficiency in English language skills - verbal and written.
