As an expert level capacity planner, your primary responsibility will be to manage various mainframe client accounts to ensure optimal processing performance. You will provide consultation and advisement to technical principals within the mainframe disciplines, author white papers, mentor junior planners, and participate in seminars related to mainframe capacity and performance. Additionally, you will identify and develop critical capacity and performance analytics, forecast future demand, and provide recommendations for optimal mainframe compute environment performance. Your role will involve extensive mainframe experience, scripting/programming skills, statistical and analytical application proficiency, Microsoft Office expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal support. You will advise and support multiple client environments, communicate with large audiences, provide weekend support occasionally, participate in on-call rotations, define KPIs, develop client forecasting models, and identify system performance issues. In this position, you will need mastery-level knowledge of corporate IT computing processes and methodologies, the ability to provide mentoring and technical consultation, develop technical strategies, establish strong relationships with teams and partners, perform impact analysis, define automation solutions, and lead innovation in emerging technologies and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5 years with a Master's degree, or equivalent work experience.
