Analyst - Software Asset Management & Procurement

As an experienced Software License Management Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, tracking, and compliance of software licenses across the US & EU regions. Your role will involve ensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and optimal utilization of software assets by leveraging your strong understanding of software licensing models and purchasing processes. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing recommendations on licensing options and demonstrating a general understanding of software and SaaS license/subscription models. Your key responsibilities will include: - Tracking, monitoring, and maintaining an accurate inventory of software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and organizational policies. - End-to-end administration of SaaS applications like Miro, Wrike, Adobe, etc. - Collaborating with procurement teams to negotiate software purchases, renewals, and contracts with vendors for cost-effective solutions. - Conducting regular audits of software usage to identify over- or under-utilization, ensuring adherence to licensing terms and avoiding penalties. - Liaising with software vendors to resolve licensing disputes, obtain quotes, and manage relationships. - Analyzing software license usage data to recommend cost-saving opportunities and maintain detailed records of software licenses, purchase agreements, and renewal schedules. - Generating and presenting reports on license status, compliance, and expenditure to stakeholders and leadership. - Creating & maintaining a Software renewal calendar and automating workflows. - Working closely with IT, finance, and legal teams to streamline software acquisition and management processes. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in software license management, IT procurement, or a related analyst role. Skills Required: - Strong knowledge of software licensing models (e.g., per-user, per-device, concurrent, cloud-based). - Experience with software asset management (SAM) tools (e.g., Flexera, ServiceNow, Snow Software). - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis for reporting and auditing purposes. - Familiarity with IT procurement processes and contract terms. - Analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.,
