Role Overview: As an Analyst - Planning at American Express, you will play a crucial role in the Forecasting Team within Global Capacity and Contact Management (GCCM). Your main responsibility will be to develop accurate short-term and long-term forecasts for case setups, chat, and call volumes. You will work collaboratively with multiple functional teams to extract insights from complex data sources and provide strategic analyses to drive business decisions. Additionally, you will leverage your programming and analytics skills to automate reports, communicate effectively with partners, and contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Develop Global Short-Term and Long-Term forecasts for case setups, chat, and call volumes. - Extract meaningful insights from complex data sources and conduct strategic analyses to inform business decisions. - Automate reports and dashboards to communicate with partners and senior leaders. - Collaborate with multiple functional teams to apply knowledge of business growth initiatives and process optimization programs. - Manage in a global 24x7 environment and handle crisis/contingency plan situations effectively. - Develop insightful content and analysis for communication with partners. Qualifications Required: - Rigorous analytics/econometrics skills to solve complex business problems. - Ability to build strong relationships and influence partners in cross-functional environments. - Strong programming/analytics skills in SQL, PYTHON, HIVE, etc. - Experience in reporting, data visualization, PowerBI, Tableau. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Experience working with large datasets and knowledge of programming languages like Hive, SQL, Google Big Query Cloud. - Experience with machine learning algorithms for predictive modeling preferred. - Academic background: Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Applied Economics, or Business Analytics (Masters degree preferred).
