Description
As an ANALYST GMMO TDQ and R at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in the Global Banking & Markets business by implementing and monitoring controls to ensure exceptions, reconciliations, quality assurance, and pairing & matching are in place. Your responsibilities will include mitigating risks such as under-reporting, over-reporting, and mis-reporting by identifying issues, escalating them, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement strategic solutions. Additionally, you will create management information dashboards to highlight key performance and risk indicators, as well as respond to counterparty queries for accurate reporting. Qualifications required for this role include a degree in banking, finance, or risk management, a strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle and OTC Derivative products, a foundation in risk management principles and controls framework, awareness of regulatory requirements, technical proficiency in data systems, and analytical skills to derive meaningful insights from data. Your ability to drive continuous improvements, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions will be crucial, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications. Additional skills that would be beneficial for this role include knowledge of ETL tools like QlikView and Power BI, coding skills in VBA, Python, and SQL, previous experience in a risk/control environment within an Investment Bank or Financial Institution, and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Certification from GARP.
