Description
As a Regular Employee in the Transaction Banking department at Standard Chartered in Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to provide support in the Cash Management (NACH) transaction process. You will need to maintain a positive working relationship with personnel from other Units/Divisions of the Bank and ensure that the established product service standards for the National Collections product are met or exceeded. Responding to queries from clients within agreed timelines is also a crucial aspect of your role. You will be expected to adhere to processing standards as per the Departmental Operating Instructions manual, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in decision-making. Continuous improvement in productivity, upholding the company's values, and compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and company policies are essential. Your role will involve monitoring client requirements, processing data on the settlement date, handling client ECS queries, and following up with beneficiary banks for uncredited amounts. Ensuring operational efficiency, investigating errors, and taking corrective actions to avoid recurrence are key responsibilities. In terms of governance, strict compliance with Quality Procedure Manual procedures and Key Control Standards is necessary. Adherence to the Group's policies for the National Collection Product and internal/external audit requirements for Capital Markets activities is crucial. You will play a vital role in displaying exemplary conduct, adhering to the Group's Values and Code of Conduct, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Collaborating with key stakeholders such as Department Heads, Compliance Managers, and Cash Management Product Team will be essential for success in this role. The qualifications required for this position include any Degree, and proficiency in MS Excel and Cost Working is desired.
