Analyst - Data Migration Testing

As an ETL Tester, your role will involve validating data movement, transformations, and data quality throughout the ETL process. It is essential to have strong SQL skills, analytical thinking, and practical experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, etc. Additionally, a good understanding of data warehouse concepts like star schema, snowflake schema, and data modeling is required. Key Responsibilities: - Understand business requirements, source systems, and target data models. - Develop, design, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes. - Perform data validation, integrity checks, and reconciliation between source and target systems. - Validate ETL mappings, stored procedures, workflows, and business rules. - Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for ETL jobs and data warehouses. - Write and execute complex SQL queries for data verification. - Automate ETL test processes where applicable. - Identify, log, and track defects/issues, and collaborate with developers and analysts for resolution. - Provide detailed test results, defect reports, and sign-offs for releases. - Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure high data quality and reliability. Qualifications Required: - 6-8 years of relevant experience in ETL testing. - Strong proficiency in SQL. - Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, etc. - Good knowledge of data warehouse concepts such as star schema, snowflake schema, and data modeling.
