Analyst - Broker Pricing Opinion

As a Valuation Analyst at Amherst, you will have the opportunity to work closely with internal business unit leadership and business development functions to analyze and define key real estate projects or initiatives that support the group's needs. Your role will involve reviewing Broker Price Opinions (BPO Reports) developed by real estate agents near the properties in all areas where Amherst operates. These reports include personal inspections, photos, and written opinions of property value. Your responsibility will be to evaluate BPO results for potential contestation or challenge. You will focus on analyzing sold comparable property characteristics of single-family homes, including square footage, property condition, renovation style, and location in relation to Amherst homes to ensure a fair value for the subject. Negotiating with external real estate brokers and clients for real estate portfolio investment valuations will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will conduct research and analysis of real estate property values within the marketplace to maximize return on investments and optimize collateral valuations on Amherst credit lines. It will be essential for you to maintain and manage the integrity of BPO-related data and books and records, as well as the ability to manage Amherst BPO Portfolio and perform data analytics. To qualify for this role, you should have a graduate/bachelor's degree or MBA with a financial market understanding. Strong analytical skills, preferably in the real estate segment, are desired, along with knowledge and experience working within Salesforce. Prior experience in Broker Price Opinion or real estate appraisal work would be a significant advantage. Proficiency in MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, data management tools, and a willingness to learn new systems are essential technical skills for this position.
