The Principal Developer will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop solutions and tools that enable associates working on analyses and reporting activities in clinical trials. You will collaborate across Advance Quantitative Sciences (AQS) to understand the current user experience and collaborate with Product Owners to drive advancements in critical areas. Your primary focus will be on facilitating the utilization of open-source tools throughout the various tasks in AQS. As the Principal Developer, your responsibilities include developing technical tools (packages, applications, etc.) that support clinical trial teams. Key performance indicators for this role include the timely execution of projects and data requests, as well as feedback from project sponsors and key stakeholders. To qualify for this position, you should have an MSc with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a quantitative/computational science field (e.g., bioinformatics, machine learning, statistics, physics, mathematics, engineering) with practical experience as a data scientist/biostatistician. Strong proficiency in open-source languages such as R or Python for data manipulation, analysis, and exploration is essential. You should also demonstrate experience in good data science practices like utilizing virtual environments, versioning, and code review. A solution-oriented mindset, collaborative attitude, and proficiency in written English are also required.
