2. Education and Teaching

• Didactic Instruction:

  Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and small-group teaching sessions for medical students, anesthesia residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.

• Clinical Supervision:

  Provide one-on-one clinical instruction and supervision to residents and fellows in the operating rooms, ICUs, and clinics, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

• Curriculum Development:

  Participate in the planning and evaluation of the department's educational programs and curriculum.

• Mentorship:

  Mentor and guide trainees on clinical skills, academic development, research projects, and career planning.

3. Research and Scholarship

• Conduct Research:

  Initiate, design, and conduct clinical, translational, or basic science research projects related to anesthesiology, critical care, or pain medicine.

• Publications:

  Prepare and submit research findings for presentation at national/international conferences and for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

• Grant Writing:

  Seek external funding (grants) to support research activities.

• Scholarly Activity:

  Participate in departmental academic activities, quality improvement projects, and clinical audits.

4. Administration and Service

• Departmental Service:

  Serve on various medical college, hospital, and departmental committees (e.g., patient safety, quality improvement, curriculum, faculty search committees).

• Compliance:

  Ensure clinical practice and teaching activities comply with all institutional, National Medical Commission (NMC), and regulatory body guidelines.

• Record Keeping:

  Maintain accurate and timely clinical and academic records.

Minimum Qualifications (Varies by Rank and Country)

• Education:

  M.D. or equivalent degree (e.g., D.O.).

• Postgraduate Training:

  Completion of a recognized residency program in Anesthesiology.

• Certification:

  Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (or equivalent national certification).

• Licensure:

  Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state/country of the medical college.
