The role involves working closely with students and startups to 3D design and build prototypes/products. A key skill required for this position is proficiency in CAD software. You will be responsible for setting up equipment, demonstrations, and providing a capstone experience to students and faculty for building prototypes/products using CNC Lathe, CNC Milling, Laser Cutter, and 3D Printers. Additionally, you will assist in electro-mechanical fabrication, layout, and assembly processes. As part of your responsibilities, you will conduct training workshops on Electromechanical fabrication techniques such as 3D design, CNC Lathe, CNC Milling, 3D printing, and various tools. This will also include organizing and leading digital fabrication technology workshops and coordinating short-term project-based courses offered by Amrita TBI and FabLab. Furthermore, you will be required to maintain documentation related to laboratory activities and manage equipment, materials, and consumable inventories. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Diploma/B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or Design.
