As a Senior Associate in the Asset Servicing-Corporate Actions Accounting team based in Pune, your primary responsibility will be to process and review Corporate Actions Accounting in accordance with global standards, specifically focusing on the US market. Your role is crucial in the daily verification of Corporate Actions for mutual funds, involving a high level of risk management skills. While your primary focus will be on the US market, you will collaborate closely with our global teams/sites. Joining our team means contributing significantly to the success of the organization. Your key responsibilities as an Asset Servicing-CA Verification Senior Associate will include: - Conducting CA Accounting verification for US market events, including processing and review. - Developing expertise in the process to support the team, offer solutions, and manage escalations. - Calculating entitlements based on CA parameters and processing adjustments accurately and promptly for US funds. - Understanding the pricing methodology for Mandatory and Voluntary CA events. - Analyzing the impact of securities trading suspension, delisting, and adjustment factors on the fund portfolio. - Investigating and resolving breaks by identifying root causes and implementing solutions. - Performing intra-day and end-of-day checks and resolving pending and escalated issues following established procedures. - Assisting in the training of new employees and acting as a technical resource for the team. - Engaging in continuous training and development initiatives. - Identifying opportunities for process improvement and sharing insights with management. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, analytical, and prioritization skills. - Proficiency in team management. - Knowledge of the Securities Market and experience in Accrual and Amortization concepts and manual CA calculations. - Familiarity with the trade lifecycle of securities transactions across custody and clearing houses. - Understanding of end-to-end processing for Corporate actions and the upstream and downstream impacts of CA. - Proficiency in using Bloomberg, Reuters for verifying securities pricing, descriptions, corporate action information, etc. - Experience in Fund Accounting with a track record in CA Processing. You should hold a BCom/MCom/MBA degree or an equivalent industry-recognized qualification, preferably an MBA in Finance.
