Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

  • Project Governance:

    Establish and enforce project governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects
  • Portfolio Management:

    Evaluate, prioritize, and select projects based on resource availability, strategic goals, and potential ROI.
  • Resource Management:

    Monitor and allocate resources (human, financial, and technological) across projects to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling:

    Assist project managers in developing detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate project scheduling and resource allocation to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Quality Assurance:

    Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders, including project teams, senior management, and external partners.
  • Change Management:

    Develop and implement change management processes to handle changes in project scope, requirements, or resources.
  • Financial Management:

    Assist in budget planning and financial management for projects, ensuring that expenditures align with approved budgets.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Strategic Alignment:

    Ensure that IT projects align with the organization's overall strategic goals and objectives.

Desired candidate profile:

  • Project Management Methodologies

    : Proficiency in various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Lean) to effectively manage projects according to the organization's needs.
  • Technical Knowledge

    : Understanding of IT systems, software development, and technology trends to make informed decisions about project scope and requirements.
  • Risk Management:

    Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks specific to technology projects, including security risks, compliance issues, and technical challenges.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting:

    Proficiency in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess project performance and PMO effectiveness.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management:

    Ability to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, plans, and lessons learned repositories.
  • Leadership and Team Management:

    Leadership skills to inspire and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Vendor Management:

    Skills in managing relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure that project deliverables meet expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    Commitment to ongoing learning and process improvement to enhance PMO practices and project outcomes.
