**Job Description:** As an Ambulatory Clinic RN in Family Medicine at College Point Medical Pavilion, you will have the authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for providing nursing care following the nursing process. Your role as a Registered Nurse (RN) will involve applying competent clinical knowledge, exercising independent nursing judgment, and ensuring quality patient care outcomes through care provided both by yourself and by delegated healthcare providers. It is crucial for you to possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data accurately to meet each patient's specific age-related needs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver direct patient care within the ambulatory setting, adhering to the nursing process and your role's scope of practice. - Conduct preliminary patient assessments through observation and chart review to enable appropriate follow-up with the healthcare team. - Evaluate and facilitate necessary interventions in complex or unstable patient care situations. - Make sound clinical decisions, seek guidance from expert peers or management when needed, and ensure the effective use of resources while evaluating patient responses to care provided. - Identify the educational needs of patients and their families, provide educational instructions to patients with healthcare requirements, and evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching provided, documenting it in patients" charts. - Handle incoming patient treatment-related phone calls, complete required forms, and ensure the professional, clinical, and technical competencies of your assigned unit or department are met. **Qualifications Required:** - High school graduate - Associate Degree in Nursing - At least 6 months of RN experience - For consideration on a PRN basis, 2 or more years of RN experience is required - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred - Hold a valid Registered Nurse license, either multi-state or single-state, in good standing with the State Board of Nursing - Obtain a multistate RN license from the state in which you reside before your next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026 if hired before 2/1/2024 - Current Basic Life Support Heartsaver certification from the American Heart Association or obtain one within 14 days of employment Join the team at College Point Medical Pavilion and contribute to making a difference in the lives of patients.,
