Role Overview The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for owning end-to-end business analysis across multiple projects or large, complex engagements. This role acts as the primary bridge between clients, executive stakeholders, and technical teams, ensuring business objectives are translated into scalable, high-quality solutions. The Lead Business Analyst also mentors junior analysts and drives best practices in documentation, process design, and stakeholder governance. Key Responsibilities Client Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead client interactions, including kickoff meetings , discovery workshops, and executive reviews. Act as the primary business-facing representative for projects, ensuring alignment between client expectations and delivery outcomes. Manage senior stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus across business and technical teams. Own communication strategy for requirements, scope changes, and business impacts. Strategic Requirement Ownership Lead requirement elicitation, analysis, prioritization, and validation across initiatives. Translate business goals into clear functional, non-functional, and technical requirements . Ensure end-to-end requirement traceability across design, development, testing, and deployment. Review and approve BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria. SDLC & Technical Oversight Provide leadership across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid models. Demonstrate strong technical awareness of system architectures, application workflows, and hardware/infrastructure dependencies . Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure feasibility and optimal design decisions. Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early and drive mitigation plans. Process Excellence & SOP Governance Define, standardize, and govern Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across projects and teams. Drive continuous improvement in business analysis processes, templates, and methodologies. Ensure SOPs align with organizational standards, compliance requirements, and delivery best practices. Documentation & Knowledge Management Own the creation and maintenance of high-quality, executive-ready documentation . Establish and govern centralized project and organizational knowledge bases . Ensure documentation is structured, visually clear, version-controlled, and audit-ready. Promote documentation best practices across teams. Team Leadership & Mentorship Mentor and guide junior and mid-level Business Analysts. Review analysis deliverables and provide constructive feedback. Support capacity planning, task prioritization, and workload distribution within the BA team. Act as a thought leader for business analysis within the organization. Required Skills & Competencies Proven experience leading business analysis for complex, multi-stakeholder projects Strong client-facing leadership and stakeholder management skills Exceptional verbal and written communication, including executive-level reporting Deep understanding of SDLC, system design, and infrastructure considerations Expertise in creating SOPs, process flows, and governance documentation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities High attention to detail with a strategic and outcome-driven mindset Ability to balance hands-on analysis with leadership responsibilities
