Sr. Sales Executive /Assistant Sales Manager About Us We are a manufacturing/production company specialising in [add your specific product lines/offering]. Our leadership has ~30 years’ industry experience, and we are looking to expand our presence across India by growing our customer base and deepening relationships with key decision-makers in client companies. Role Summary We are seeking a driven and professional individual with 2-3 years of sales experience in the manufacturing / production sector. The candidate will be responsible for pursuing new clients, cross-selling across our product offerings, and helping improve our company’s presence nationally. You will engage with C-suite level stakeholders, understand client needs, and work to close deals. The role demands both technical understanding and strong sales acumen. Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, approach, and develop relationships with new clients across India, especially in the industrial / production sector. Cross-sell and upsell our range of products to existing clients, ensuring that clients know the full portfolio. Own sales cycles from lead generation to deal closure, including preparing proposals/quotations, negotiating terms, handling objections. Engage in conversations with senior management / C-suite executives of client companies to understand their business needs and position our offerings. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback; provide inputs to management to adjust strategy. Achieve set sales targets / KPIs. Support with product presentations, demos (if applicable), and technical discussions as required. Manage sales pipeline, maintain CRM or other tools for tracking leads / clients / deals. Coordinate internally with production, engineering, operations, logistics etc., to ensure client commitments are met. Travel as needed within India to meet clients / prospects, attend trade shows / meetups, etc. Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; degrees in other BTech / Engineering disciplines also acceptable if candidate has relevant experience. 2-3 years of experience in sales / business development in manufacturing / production sector. Good technical awareness: ability to understand product specifications, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings (depending on the product). Strong communication skills (verbal & written), especially ability to converse with senior management. Good negotiation skills and commercial sense. Self-motivated, target-driven, ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (esp. PowerPoint, Excel), ability to prepare compelling sales decks / proposals. Willingness to travel frequently across India. Ability to multitask, manage sales pipeline, follow up effectively.
