Role Description Position: Sales Engineer – Collaborative Robots (Cobots) & Automation Solutions (Commercial Accounts) Location: Chennai, Pune, Delhi/NCR Department: Sales & Business Development Reports To: VP Sales Experience: 3-5 years About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to drive sales of our collaborative robots (cobots), automation solutions, and accessories. The role involves a mix of technical expertise and business acumen to identify opportunities, engage customers, demonstrate product capabilities, and close sales across industries such as manufacturing, education, R&D, electronics, automotive, and healthcare. Key Responsibilities • Business Development & Sales • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the Dobot product line in assigned regions. • Meet and exceed sales targets by promoting cobots and automation solutions. • Conduct market research to identify prospects and decision-makers. • Customer Engagement & Demonstration • Present and demonstrate Dobot products (both hardware and software) to prospective clients. • Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) and trials to showcase product capabilities. • Understand client pain points and recommend customized solutions. • Technical Pre-Sales Support • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and ROI justifications. • Collaborate with application engineers to design automation workflows. • Provide first-level technical clarification during client discussions. • Account & Relationship Management • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, channel partners, and system integrators. • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to close deals. • Ensure customer satisfaction post-sales in collaboration with the support team. • Collaboration & Reporting • Work closely with marketing teams for lead generation campaigns, trade shows, and seminars. • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and competitive intelligence. Qualifications & Skills • Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related fields. • Prior proven Experience of 3-5 years in technical sales, in robotics (selling KUKA/ABB/OMRON/DOBOT and similar sytems in industrial automation requirements Technical Knowledge: • Understanding of robotics, cobots, sensors, PLC, automation workflows. • Familiarity with educational robotics and training labs is an advantage. • Skills: • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Ability to understand technical solutions and explain them in simple terms. • Self-driven, target-oriented, and customer-focused. • Other: Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory. ⸻ Why Join Us? • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics and automation solutions. • Exposure to diverse industries and innovative applications. • Growth-oriented environment with performance-based rewards.
