As a Data Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) at Schneider Electric, you will be responsible for developing and deploying innovative NLP solutions in an enterprise setting. You will be a key player in exploring various NLP topics such as text classification, sentiment analysis, and question answering. Your expertise in NLP techniques and frameworks will be crucial in designing and implementing proof of concepts (POCs) and end-to-end solutions using OpenAI LLMs and other open-source LLMs. Your role will involve optimizing and fine-tuning the performance of LLMs through prompt engineering and RAG-based methods to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, you will be required to deploy and monitor NLP models and applications in production environments, communicating results and insights to internal and external stakeholders effectively. Collaboration with other AI team members and stakeholders is essential to understand requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality results. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to present solutions clearly and concisely to business partners. Staying updated with the latest developments and trends in NLP and LLMs will be crucial to driving innovation and excellence in your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or NLP is required, with a focus on unstructured data analytics. Proficiency in Python and common NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, and transformers is essential, along with familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and NLP frameworks such as Hugging Face and AllenNLP. Preferred qualifications include experience with analytics, data science, statistical methodologies, data management, and analytical tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, are highly desirable. Experience working in an enterprise setting and leadership skills to motivate a team will be advantageous in this role.
