HIH - Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor (Network Engineer - Operation and Reliability ) Position Overview: Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Serves as the lead technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of information technology solutions. Leads the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions. Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc. May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise. Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems. May serve as the primary contact for vendors. Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments. Responsibilities: Perform initial investigation and triage for all tickets/issues for all areas in the network infrastructure Complete all service now tickets in the queues Perform upgrades and refreshes as needed within the environment Able to resolve vulnerabilities when notified of items with a vulnerability Able to provide audit information as requested Provide technical support on incident calls as needed Accurately log and document all information in the network infrastructure Perform investigation and triage for alerts and events Troubleshoot complex/multitier issues within the network infrastructure Perform escalation of incidents to higher tier support groups, vendors, and other support staff Perform monitoring and event management support for the entire network infrastructure Accurately log and document all changes/incidents in Service Now ticketing system Identify opportunities for improvement in the monitoring and event management tools and processes Provide planning and vendor oversight for network change activity Report key performance metrics to management Qualifications: We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Firewall Engineer to join our Information Security team. The team protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems in core systems and platforms. As a Firewall Operations Engineer, your daily responsibilities revolve around the implementation, and management of the network security infrastructure perimeter. Working in tandem with a team of cybersecurity engineers, you will managed efforts to prevent and remediate cybersecurity incidents through continuous optimization of infrastructure, policies and rules. As a senior technical member of the team, you'll play a crucial role in fostering cross-functional partnerships, particularly with the IT department and development groups. You will provide robust support and implement stringent security measures across global platforms, ensuring that solutions remain fortified against evolving cyber threats while seamlessly integrating with the companys objectives. The work includes: Implement next generation Firewall (NGFW) infrastructure solutions at the enterprise level. Diagnose and resolve application issues post firewall, rule, policy, and feature implementation. Necessary experience with Palo Alto, ASA, and Fortinet technologies (in order of importance). Palo Alto PCNSA and PCNSE a plus. Analyze firewall requirements for application migrations to new infrastructure. Manage changes through ServiceNow ITSM and other applications. Manage firewall implementations through AlgoSec (FireFlow, Appviz & ObjectFlow), and Panorama applications. Remove / optimize old firewall policy configurations no longer required for optimization. Participate in trouble-shooting application issues that may involve firewalls and other perimeter security infrastructure. Exercise good judgment, a sense of urgency, and maintain a commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service, and business integrity.

Responsibilities 1.Review, assess and make decision on the flow requests that are submitted via internal tools by various Business units across APAC. 2.Evaluate business justification for any exception rules and have the request tracked via risk card until exception rules are closed with permanent fix. 3.Conduct regular Firewall rules review according to the internal review framework and understand the risk impact based on the changes coded in the firewall. 4.Work closely with global counterparts to oversee the development and implementation of risk policies and procedures as well as control assessment reporting process. 5.Do the 4 eyes check for rules approved in ServiceNow / TUFIN vs rules coded in the Firewall. 6.Prepare and review regular operational reports of firewall rule management activities. 7.Create regular reports and share with Management and beneficiaries of our services, include findings if any. 8.Develop and maintain risk management dashboards, resulting in improved visibility into risk management activities and better decision. 9.Maintain written documents for new and existing process and procedures. Contributing Responsibilities 1.Ensure that the Banks Governance cybersecurity practices comply with local and international regulations and industry standards. Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and ensure adherence to best practices in cybersecurity. 2.Contribute to the Permanent Control framework for implementation of policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan and respond to Internal / External Audits. 3.Contribute to improvement of prevention and detection capabilities by brainstorming KRIs and participating to security incident handling. Technical Bachelors degree in computer science or any Cyber Security related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in Risk Assessment with strong Network concept. Understand Network OSI layer concept, Micro-segmentation Architecture. Good working knowledge of Security risk management, Vulnerability management, Application security Security incident response. A past experience on software development, in order to contribute to the automation of this firewall review activity, with strong knowledge on methodologies (DevOps) and technology (Python, Elastic and/or SQL) is mandatory.
