This is a full-time role at our Bangalore office or remote working opportunity where you will be joining the team at Wifi Dabba, a YC startup focused on connecting the next billion users online through low-cost, scalable, and distributed Wi-Fi infrastructure. At Wifi Dabba, we aim to provide affordable internet access to all by deploying a grid of lasers over cities and towns, enabling users to buy data access at a price they can afford. Leveraging crypto and blockchain technologies, we are working towards making internet infrastructure ownership distributed and becoming the connectivity layer for the Web3 world. As a Blockchain Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transforming requirements into on-chain logic, utilizing your expertise in Solana/Algorand protocol and other cryptocurrency technologies. Your responsibilities will include working on token utility requirements, testing applications, staying updated on crypto trends, and developing on-chain programs to facilitate token logic. This role offers you the opportunity to shape the future of telecom infrastructure ownership and operations, be part of a fast-growing startup, and work in a collaborative environment where you can learn and take ownership. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong engineering background, experience in developing Web3 apps, understanding of algorithms, data structures, and databases, and a deep knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency space, and smart contract systems. Experience in Solana or Algorand smart-contract development is preferred, or a willingness to learn is essential. You should be able to write clean and sustainable code, enjoy collaborative teamwork, and have an entrepreneurial mindset. Previous experience in high-growth startups is a plus. The interview process consists of three rounds, including a video call with the engineering team, an in-person interview in Bangalore, and a call or meeting with the founders to discuss your career roadmap at Wifi Dabba.
