ALFA PUMPS (P) LIMITED is seeking an experienced Pump Design Engineer to join our team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing centrifugal pumps (horizontal and vertical types) with advanced sealing systems (mechanical, magnetic, and hermetic). They will work on specialized materials like PP, PVDF, PFA, and other plastics for pumps used in handling corrosive media. Key Responsibilities: ● Pump Design & Development: 1. Design centrifugal pumps (horizontal and vertical configurations) for applications involving corrosive media. 2. Develop and implement designs featuring mechanical, magnetically sealed, and hermetically sealed systems. ● Material Selection: 1. Optimize designs for materials like PP, PVDF, PFA, and other specialized plastics to meet application needs. 2. Ensure material compatibility for handling corrosive chemicals. ● Hydraulic Optimization: 1. Design pumps with optimized hydraulics to ensure maximum overall efficiency. 2. Conduct performance testing and analysis to achieve the highest efficiency standards. ● Engineering Standards: 1. Ensure designs comply with industry standards and best practices. 2. Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation for manufacturing. ● Collaboration: 1. Work closely with manufacturing, quality control, and R&D teams to transition designs into production. 2. Liaise with clients and sales teams to understand custom requirements and provide technical solutions. ● Continuous Improvement: 1. Drive innovation in pump design to improve efficiency, durability, and reliability. 2. Stay updated with the latest advancements in pump technology and material science.
