Job Description The Business Development Engineer for Costing & Supplier Sourcing will be responsible for evaluating customer requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and managing supplier relationships. This role involves supplier development, negotiations, and ensuring timely customer support. The candidate will act as the commercial link between the organization, suppliers, and customers, ensuring smooth execution of business projects. Roles & Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and proposals for customer enquiries in the B2B sector . - Analyze raw material, component, and process costs to provide competitive and accurate pricing. - Identify, source, and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors to ensure quality and reliability. - Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contract terms with suppliers to optimize costs. - Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships to support business objectives. - Coordinate with customers to provide timely updates, resolve queries, and ensure customer satisfaction. - Travel to customer and supplier locations as needed for technical/commercial discussions, audits, or inspections. - Maintain and update costing records, price trends, and supplier performance databases. Ideal Candidate Profile - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering. - 2–5 years of experience in costing, procurement, or supplier management in a B2B environment. - Excellent negotiation and analytical skills with attention to detail. - Good communication and interpersonal skills for handling customers and suppliers. - Proactive attitude with willingness to travel extensively when required.
