Job Requirements A Civil and Structural Design Engineer in the oil and gas industry is a highly specialized professional responsible for the end-to-end design, analysis, and integrity management of complex facilities. This role covers initial conceptual studies to detailed engineering, and ongoing operational support for both greenfield and brownfield projects. The engineer ensures the safety, cost-effectiveness, and structural soundness of all civil and structural assets, whether on land or offshore. A deep understanding of industry-specific codes and standards is critical to ensure compliance and mitigate high-risk scenarios. Key roles and responsibilities Design and engineering Perform advanced structural analysis and design for both reinforced concrete and steel structures, including pipe racks, platforms, foundations, and buildings. Design specialized foundations, such as dynamic foundations for large rotating machinery, and pile foundations for complex structures. Conduct comprehensive in-place, fatigue, seismic, and blast analysis for both onshore and offshore structures. Develop detailed engineering deliverables, including technical specifications, calculation reports, and engineering drawings (GAs, details, layouts). Utilize advanced engineering software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SACS, ABAQUS, Navisworks) for structural analysis, simulation, and 3D modeling.
