Role summary The WSP Aviation team is seeking an experienced Airfield Engineer in our Indian office. Due to recent successes the team is growing and offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate seeking new and exciting opportunities. The successful candidate will form part of an existing wider team of 17 engineers and project managers to deliver airfield civil engineering design and maintenance projects through various stages of design from feasibility / option studies to detailed design and onto construction for a number of clients both in the UK and overseas. CORE Functions The candidate will be required to: Acting as the engineer for airfield civil engineering projects. Actively participating in the design and providing input to the design team throughout the design process. Acting as a role model for junior team members within the Airfield Engineering team. Knowledge health and safety in design. Implement the technical quality requirements, address the project brief and meet client deadlines. Qualifications and work experience The current team is diverse and well respected across the industry therefore the candidate is required to have sound technical abilities to help enhance and grow the team. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in Civil Engineering projects at airports and preferably have a degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum Requirements Design experience at airports. Knowledge of airfield engineering and experience of working on airport projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support. Experience of international airfield design standards such as ICAO Detail-oriented and highly organized. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with design software packages such as AutoCAD and Civils 3D Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives. Preferred Qualifications Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant qualification Chartered or Incorporated Status (MICE, MCIHT or equivalent) or equivalent demonstrable experience Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts such as NEC

WSP is looking for a candidate who can support drawing production for Pavement, Airfield and Maritime projects. Following are the desired characteristics: Implement and coordinate compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) Model management (changes, quality etc). Establish workflows and creation of CAD/BIM user manuals. Use of Autodesk suite including, Civil 3D, Autodesk AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit and other similar software packages as required. Coordinate Civil 3D and 2D modelling services for pavement, airfield and maritime projects, including ground profile modelling, below ground services modelling and clash detection, generation of schedules and Material and quantify take-offs; Working and coordination with design staff; able to prepare pavement design 2D models and drawings for all design stages of project, good working knowledge of preparing cross-sections. longitudinal profiles, isopachyte models Actively work at improving the drafting skills of the team, mentoring and coaching junior drafting staff; Reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards; Ensuring that delivery is achieved in accordance with the companys management systems including CAD/BIM Standards, Health and Safety, project and risk management. Review, implement and contribute to the development of our CAD/BIM standards and modelling delivery process. Implement the technical quality requirements, address the project brief and meet client deadlines.

As a Junior Airport Planner, you will be responsible for managing the preparation of airport planning studies for general aviation and commercial service airports. These studies encompass a wide range of tasks including airport master plans, airport layout plans, site selection studies, safety and security analysis, and benefit-cost analysis studies. It is essential to stay updated with ICAO/DGCA planning and design aspects to ensure the highest standards are met. Your key responsibilities include contributing to airport master planning, airfield planning, terminal planning, and environmental studies. You will be involved in designing, analyzing, and planning airside and terminal concepts, as well as conducting research and data analysis to support airport planning studies. Additionally, you will prepare technical presentations, reports, and review scopes of work for various projects while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. To excel in this role, you should have experience in airport master planning, demand and capacity analysis, facilities programming, airfield and apron planning, and terminal interfacing. Proficiency in tasks such as airfield simulation modeling, OLS modeling, and support facility planning is also required. As an onsite employee, you will be expected to work full-time at a Jacobs Workplace, as per the requirements of your role. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in aviation management, Aeronautical Science, or Planning, along with a Master's Degree in Airport Planning and Management or Aviation Management. In terms of technical skills, you should possess expertise in airport design and master planning, software proficiency for planning tasks using Avi PLAN or equivalent software, and the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations. You must be able to apply ICAO/IATA/DGCA/AAI criteria to designs and effectively communicate with project teams and clients. Professional certifications would be advantageous. Soft skills such as interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, effective communication (oral, written, and listening), process orientation, and strong data analysis and presentation skills are also crucial for success in this role. You will play a vital role in supporting the aviation team in business development activities and proposal preparation, demonstrating your proactive and meticulous approach to work.,
