Key responsibilities of the role will include: Provide effective test & defect triage solutions for android and QNX system. Analyse software logs to root cause defects and provide RCA. Understand the gaps based on issue creep and provide required test solutions to bridge the gap. Build a good system SW understanding of the system and garner one point of contact on first level of analysis. Drive complex defects E2E with analysing, root causing and fix with the relevant stakeholders. Present project / issue status to management in various forums confidently with a data driven approach. Daily defect management, liaising with various product owners to ensure glidepath trajectory in line with programme timings. Work with multiple stakeholders within and outside organization to expedite RCA and fixes for the defects. Attend daily agile start-ups to plan the activities for the sprint. Addressing vehicle issues, work with the integration teams to root-cause Plan 5x5 events and stakeholder sign-off events for SW delivery Ensure all vehicle assessment feedback is triaged, working with the SMEs Regular engagement with suppliers.. Previous Experience / Knowledge and skills: 5+ years of experience in test and defects triage and working with cross cultural workforce in software industry (with at least 6+ years in automotive based company) A bachelors degree in electrical engineering (or related discipline) from reputed college / university Should have good working experience for vehicle cockpit domain. Good System & SW knowledge of android & QNX based systems. Experience in Agile way of working. Must have deep understanding of product development in technology domain preferably Automotive Cockpit Strong problem solver Good communication skills Able to analyse data & data presentation. Desirable - 6 sigma green belt Good knowledge in SDLC / V model Experienced in the management, application, use of JIRA, AIMS, eFDVS, FMA quality processes, DFMEA, engineering release processes, checkpoint / gateway reporting. Experienced in reporting project / programme status at senior forums Strong experience on SW OS platforms (atleast one) - Android, QNX, Linux A proven record for recognising and developing talent within the organisation to help foster staff development and company loyalty. Team player, able to work effectively over multiple departmental / COC barriers to deliver effective business solutions. Natural problem-solver with structured approach to problem solving in a technical environment using FMEAs, fishbone, IS IS-NOT methods Proven ability to work on own initiative, prioritize workload demands personally and for wider team Must be flexible, able to apply skills/experience to a number of different tasks and able to work from different locations where required. Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery. Scope of Role: The Launch Engineer - Automotive Seating is responsible for whole Seating / vehicle build assembly process development and validation. Area of Responsibility: Lead and report on whole Seating / Vehicle BOM / specification validation using SDV/APT/Gspas/Gpirs to align build requirements. Attend and contribute to Build Planning Meetings including, RIS, IPC, FMS, OTG, startup, washup, 5F, parts, WCPA. Collect and provide data for senior reveiws, including Gating, EPC, LMM Work with Programme teams to align build timing plans and Prototype work load capacity for multiple programmes. Lead reviews with Proto MP&L to ensure parts supply meets build requirements. Provide data for and attend daily High Hurts reviews. Collate and present data for vehicle quality and integrity meeting programme specifications. Lead management of critical torque data gathering via control plans and attribute checks. Champion component engineers to ensure quality resolutions of all build related issues. Recording and presenting Prototype deliverables to Senior Management. Champion Prototype Build Quality Operating System during builds. Commissioning and sign off of Prototype vehicles. Manage and lead a team to deliver Plant Score Card requirements and targets. Ensure consistency and leadership in delivery of attribute targets and milestone reporting. Encourage continuous improvement and report performance across all levels of Prototype Build. They must be self-motivated to achieve deadlines and be proactive in anticipating and preventing any build stopping issues, whilst ensuring that the quality of the product is not compromised by achieving the timing plan. In addition, the applicant should have the following qualifications and experience: Automotive seating project development experience Automotive seating regulation and know how. Proven ability to influence and/or manage people. Candidate must have a record of proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines. Will be required to work at other sites & locations as requested. Able to be flexible with working arrangements, including shifts & overtime where required. Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels. The ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision when necessary to deliver key objectives. Conversant with GSPAS, APT, AIMS, Digibuck & GPIRS Bills of Material Essential. Good understanding of PCS Desirable. Understanding of vehicle programme delivery processes & procedures.
