As a Senior R&D Engineer at Ansys, you will play a crucial role in developing software products for semiconductor analysis. Your responsibilities will involve utilizing advanced technical skills to address complex issues, meet customer requirements, and achieve development objectives. Innovation in semiconductor design and manufacturing is essential for creating smaller device architectures with improved performance and energy efficiency, driving the smart product revolution forward. Your key duties and responsibilities will include performing development tasks that may involve in-depth analysis across various areas such as user experience, software design, and solver research. You will adhere to best practices, conduct technical reviews, and provide mentoring support. Additionally, you will be responsible for bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products, as well as researching and developing solutions for problems identified by QA or product support. To be successful in this role, you should possess a minimum of a BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5 years of experience, an MS with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 1 year of experience. You should have commercial experience in software design and development methodologies, along with excellent technical knowledge and proficiency in C and Python. An understanding of electronic design at gate and transistor levels is also required. Preferred qualifications and skills include experience in AI/ML-based development, proficiency in designing and implementing machine learning models and deep learning algorithms, delivering high-quality products in a commercial software development environment, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capability to collaborate effectively in a geographically distributed team.
