Dolby's research division is seeking an AI researcher to contribute to the development of the next generation of AI-based multimodal technologies. As part of Dolby's research efforts, the candidate will collaborate with Dolby's renowned audio and vision experts to innovate new multimedia analysis, processing, and rendering technologies aimed at driving interactive and immersive experiences. Working within an international team, the senior Generative AI Researcher will explore novel horizons in multimodal analysis, processing, and generation. The responsibilities include conducting fundamental research, technology transfer to product groups, drafting patent applications, and publishing papers. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong background in deep learning, encompassing both conceptual understanding and practical experience. Staying updated with the latest literature and implementing cutting-edge techniques in generative models, self-supervised learning, and multi-modal learning are key aspects of the position. Experience or knowledge in the following areas would be beneficial: - Generative modeling for audio and video applications. - Multimodal semantic understanding and reasoning. - Multimodal representations including audio and/or video. - Multimodal AI architectures focusing on generating audio and/or video. - AI-driven enhancement, processing, and generation for audio and/or video applications. - Exposure to various audio and video applications. Collaborating closely with Dolby's Machine Perception and Reasoning team, the candidate will join a group of top-tier researchers working on challenging problems in multimodal AI for entertainment applications. The role involves creating and implementing multimodal AI technologies to develop new experiences and prototypes. The candidate will be responsible for prototyping immersive experiences that enhance immersion and interaction, thereby refining the user experience. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with domain experts to execute Dolby's technical strategy in artificial intelligence and machine learning. - Utilize deep learning to innovate new solutions and improve existing applications. - Drive the state-of-the-art and develop intellectual property. - Mentor interns on research problems. - Publish papers in top-tier conferences and journals. - Transfer technology to product groups and draft patent applications. - Advise internal leaders on recent advancements in deep learning to influence research direction and business decisions. Requirements: - Ph.D. in computer science or similar field with a focus on deep learning. - Experience in AI applied to audio and/or video. - Technical expertise in generative modeling for audio or video. - Strong publication record in top-tier conferences. - Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. - Ability to innovate new technologies and translate them into products. - Strong communication skills.,
