Job Description

As a member of the Siemens Energy team, you will be part of a global engineering team responsible for developing reference auxiliaries and adapting them to customer requirements for large gas & steam turbines and generator packages. The Tools and Data Management (TDM) department, represented in Germany, India, and the USA, is focused on administering and further developing the engineering tool landscape and its data to enhance efficiency and daily work experience for engineering teams. This includes improving user interfaces, data flow between tools, tool performance, simplification of the tool landscape, and applying effective techniques to evaluate, interpret, and visualize data. Your day will involve reviewing ideas from the GCO team in the morning to identify business processes where generative language AI solutions can add value. You will engage with idea providers, refine potential projects, and stay updated on the latest developments in the field by joining the Siemens Energy AI community meeting before lunch. In the afternoon, you will present AI techniques to the Bid Management team, discuss new ideas with colleagues, and plan the next steps. In your new role, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of advanced data analytics solutions with a focus on natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) techniques. You will support the implementation of data-driven project execution methodologies, coordinate data integration and analysis requirements with IT, define required capabilities for data integration and analysis, and join the expert network across different business areas to stay up-to-date on the latest data science and ML techniques. To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in computer science, data science, applied mathematics, statistics, or a comparable engineering/IT discipline, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in developing AI applications and integrating AI with existing applications. You should be enthusiastic about leveraging the full potential of data, data analytics, and AI/ML solutions in business processes, possess advanced programming skills with Python and other relevant languages, proficiency in database management systems, experience with cloud platforms, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
