As an Electrical Engineer with experience in FEED, proposal, and detailed engineering within the EPC industry for Manufacturing units, Data centers, and Buildings/utility projects, you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and approving key engineering drawings, calculations, and design documents. Your role will involve preparing discipline estimates and work plans in alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget, and ensuring efficient implementation and performance. Additionally, you will coordinate electrical engineering efforts with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, and other functional groups. Maintaining regular communication with client representatives, suppliers, field personnel, and other disciplines will be essential to ensure work coordination within the project or assignment while adhering to company requirements. You will supervise the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists, designers, and drafters to ensure project success. To qualify for this role, you must hold a recognized degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university and possess a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience. Site experience will be considered an added advantage. Your proficiency should include knowledge of main single-line diagrams, protection & metering diagrams, relay setting & protection coordination of the system, UPS sizing, cable sizing, and Grounding. In-depth understanding of Electrical system studies using ETAP software, including short circuit, load flow, and motor starting, is crucial. Experience with equipment sizing, specifications, MR preparation, technical bid evaluation, and vendor print reviews of various electrical equipment such as HV GIS, Busduct, Switchgear, MCCs, Transformers, DC systems/UPS, and Cables is required. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems related to equipment like HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, Condenser Water Systems, Pump controls, Glycol/Glycols, AHU units (DX, split, RTU, CRAC, etc.), CRAH, and Raised Floor Systems is essential. You should be well-versed in Building Power Management interface, including controlling and monitoring Buildings mechanical and electrical equipment like HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire systems, access control, and security systems. Familiarity with electrical layouts such as Substation Equipment, raceways, lighting, grounding & lightning protection, etc., as well as experience in reviewing 3D models using Autodesk Revit and Model Reviews with the client, will be beneficial. You will have full technical responsibility for planning, interpreting, organizing, executing, and co-ordinating engineering assignments and activities on the project in liaison with the Project Engineering Manager. You will establish and manage the overall engineering budget, maintain ownership, and ensure execution within approved budgets. Your responsibilities will include managing Civil-Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (MEP) Designs and HVAC in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and guidelines. Additionally, you will manage Engineering Designs and Calculations for various systems in compliance with all local and international codes and guidelines. Your role will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders including consultants, engineers, architects, planners, construction managers, and quantity surveyors. You will prepare Tender & Construction Drawings along with Engineering Design Plans, participate in risk workshops, review designs, and lead projects to design and implement data center expansions or new data centers. Furthermore, you will review PUE calculation, improve technical designs, and coordinate and manage project design and engineering scope. You will also be responsible for coordinating technical and commercial reviews, undertaking design co-ordination meetings with construction, reviewing TIC reduction/value engineering opportunities, and ensuring statutory and company specific design reviews are undertaken in accordance with QA procedures. Your education and experience should include a recognized bachelor's degree in engineering with over 20 years of working experience and certification as a Data Center Professional. Preferred qualifications include experience in Project Engineering role in Data Center Projects. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role include in-depth knowledge of Data Center, M&E infrastructure design concepts, extensive knowledge of Civil and MEP engineering practices, and the ability to anticipate business challenges and regulatory issues. You should have a working knowledge of industry/regulatory standards and design criteria, the ability to develop innovative ideas to reduce project costs, and proficiency in execution planning and resource allocation.
