This role focuses on the innovation, design, and development of new products, improvement of existing ones, and alignment of R&D initiatives with the strategic objectives of the company. The R&D Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Lead the design and development of new food and nutraceutical products based on market trends, scientific advances, and consumer needs Reformulate existing products to improve nutrition, stability, cost-efficiency, or regulatory compliance Oversee scientific research on ingredients, formulations, and their health benefits, often in collaboration with external research partners Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant food safety and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EFSA, FSSAI, GMP) Prepare technical documentation to support product registrations, health claims, and labeling requirements Coordinate quality assurance processes, including ingredient testing, product validation, shelf-life studies, and stability testing Collaborate with marketing, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams to bring products from concept to launch Translate marketing ideas and customer feedback into scientifically sound and feasible product solutions Manage R&D project timelines, budgets, resources, and reporting for smooth execution and delivery Evaluate and approve raw materials, functional ingredients, and new suppliers to support product innovation and quality Develop and maintain a strategic innovation roadmap aligned with company goals and market opportunities Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and scientific discoveries in food and nutrition Understand and address formulation challenges such as solubility, taste masking, bioavailability, and ingredient compatibility Demonstrate strong skills in project management, data analysis, and technical writing to ensure effective R&D operations Ensure continuous improvement of R&D processes, documentation standards, and team capabilities through training and benchmarking Job Requirements:- Strong leadership and project management capabilities. Certifications like HACCP Certification, Certified Food Scientist, FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000, etc. Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, beverages, food related, etc). Quality Analyst / QC Executive Job Description:- Responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of all dairy and nutraceutical products with regulatory, company, and customer standards. The role involves implementing quality systems, monitoring production processes, conducting audits, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest level of product integrity and food safety. Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Monitor and implement quality systems in accordance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, GMP, and other relevant food safety standards. Conduct routine inspections and in-process checks in raw milk reception, processing, packaging, and storage areas to ensure adherence to SOPs. Review and maintain documentation including batch manufacturing records (BMR), COAs, product release records, and deviation reports. Participate in internal audits, assist in external regulatory audits (FSSAI, FDA, ISO), and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate with Production, R&D, and QC teams to address quality deviations, non-conformities, and process improvements. Evaluate supplier quality, raw material specifications, and perform vendor audits when required. Ensure traceability of products and materials through proper labeling and documentation practices. Assist in stability studies, shelf-life evaluations, and sensory analysis of dairy and nutraceutical products. Train production and QA staff on quality systems, hygiene, and regulatory compliance. Support new product development from a quality and regulatory standpoint. Job Requirements:- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and documentation control. Ability to interpret and apply national and international food safety standards. Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and solving quality-related issues. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Able to manage multiple priorities and maintain compliance under pressure. Able to do Sensory evaluation and shelf-life testing Knows Root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation Preferred:- 13 years of experience in a QA role in dairy, food processing, or nutraceutical manufacturing companies Hands-on experience in handling audits, documentation, and regulatory inspections preferred Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) Education:- B.Tech / M.Tech in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
