Agricultural R&D Intern — Food, Textiles & Cosmetics Empowering Transparency & Virtuous Innovation in Responsible Health Products Position Overview At Hedamo Report, we bridge science and integrity to champion transparency in food, textiles, and cosmetics—responsible health products that shape daily lives. We are seeking a motivated Agricultural R&D Intern to join our mission of validating and documenting the integrity of organic and responsibly produced products. This role blends agricultural science with rigorous product analysis across textiles, cosmetics, and food, ensuring that every product we endorse upholds the highest standards of responsibility, health, and virtue. Key Responsibilities Product Testing Documentation & Analysis Document and analyze testing protocols for agricultural products, including pesticide residue analysis, GMO testing, and heavy metal detection, focusing on food, textiles, and cosmetics. Maintain comprehensive laboratory records capturing data across food products, textiles, and cosmetics to support product transparency. Prepare technical reports and white papers detailing testing methodologies and results for the food, textile, and cosmetic industries. Conduct testing simulations on different organic products, materials, and systems to ensure integrity and compliance in food, textiles, and cosmetics. Research & Development Support Collaborate with R&D engineers and scientists to develop new testing protocols tailored for responsible health products across food, textiles, and cosmetics. Contribute to pilot projects focusing on organic certification compliance for these sectors. Design and execute experiments using proven scientific methods to assess product characteristics and organic integrity in food, textiles, and cosmetics. Assist with spatial analysis of farmland using GIS tools (QGIS or Google Earth Pro) to support transparency in sourcing for all product lines. Documentation & Compliance Ensure all documentation aligns with organic farming standards and certification requirements relevant to food, textiles, and cosmetics. Support the verification of organic integrity by documenting the absence of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, and GMOs across all product lines. Maintain compliance records for domestic and international organic markets in food, textiles, and cosmetics. Document allergen detection and microbiological testing results to guarantee safety and transparency in food, textiles, and cosmetics. Data Analysis Interpret and record data related to sustainable agriculture practices and product testing across food, textiles, and cosmetics. Conduct systematic reviews of scientific literature on agricultural and environmental themes with relevance to all three industries. Present data analysis and test reports to cross-functional teams, contributing to transparency reports that inform consumers and stakeholders in food, textiles, and cosmetics. Analyze raw biodiversity data to support responsible sourcing and ecological integrity across product categories. Required Qualifications Educational Background Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related field. Strong academic background in organic farming principles and sustainable agriculture. Understanding of food safety regulations and organic certification processes applicable to food, textiles, and cosmetics. Technical Skills Knowledge of laboratory equipment (autoclaves, sterilizers, centrifuges, homogenizers) used in food, textile, and cosmetic testing. Experience with GIS software (QGIS or Google Earth Pro) for spatial analysis supporting all product lines. Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and scientific documentation relevant to food, textiles, and cosmetics. Understanding of pesticide residue analysis and GMO testing methodologies applied to diverse products. Core Competencies Attention to Detail: Critical for accurate documentation of testing procedures and compliance requirements across food, textiles, and cosmetics. Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess product designs in all three sectors and provide actionable insights for improvement. Preferred Qualifications Experience with organic certification bodies (USDA Organic, Fair Trade) relevant to food, textiles, and cosmetics. Knowledge of textile testing for organic fibers and sustainable materials. Understanding of cosmetic ingredient safety testing and natural product formulations. Familiarity with blockchain technology for supply chain transparency in food, textiles, and cosmetics. Previous internship experience in agricultural research or food safety testing with exposure to multiple product categories.
