The ideal candidate should have at least 6+ years of experience in the field. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for performing testing activities for a project and implementing industry standard testing best practices and innovations. You will act as the test engineer for development projects, performing test identification, test design, and test execution in both waterfall and agile-based projects. It is essential to have sound knowledge of test management tools and experience in systematically executing testing tasks using industry-accepted best practices. Your expertise will be crucial during requirement gathering exercises, sprint planning/grooming sessions to collect the details of requirements. Implementing best practices in different types of testing, including System testing, Regression testing, End to End testing, API Testing, and DB Testing, is a key aspect of the role. You must also have experience in documenting test cases, defect reports, and status reports, with experience in writing test plans considered a plus. Additionally, knowledge in automation testing using different automation test tools will be required. Experience in performance testing, security testing, and knowledge of performance testing tools will be beneficial for this role. You will be expected to interact with customers to understand requirements, develop and execute test cases, and track defects for the application under test. Implementing industry best practices for system testing, regression testing, and system integration testing is essential. Hands-on experience in Webservice testing using tools like Postman or other comparable tools, solid experience with test management tools, and experience in Database testing with good knowledge in SQL are necessary. You will be required to independently attend Agile meetings with Agile teams, represent the testing team, provide status updates, raise issues, and work to resolve them. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and be team-oriented. Innovation in proposing/implementing new ideas/processes, motivation, self-starting capabilities, proactive approach to resolving issues, and working with limited supervision are desired qualities.
