This role will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and enriching metadata assets including business glossaries, data dictionaries, and ownership hierarchies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to enhance data discoverability, trust, and compliance. Hands-on experience to implement, configure, and maintain Data Governance tools is essential, with preference given to those familiar with Ab Initio (preferred), Informatica, Talend, Atlan, Databricks, or Snowflake . Responsibilities: Define, maintain, and govern enterprise-wide Business Glossary and Metadata Hub , ensuring consistent and standardized definitions across domains. Collaborate with Data Owners, SMEs, and Data Architects to assign data ownership, stewardship roles, and accountability for critical data assets. Support ongoing metadata curation and enrichment efforts, ensuring metadata completeness, quality, and alignment with business objectives. Establish workflows for metadata onboarding, change management, versioning, and lifecycle governance . Work closely with Governance, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to support data classification, policy enforcement, and regulatory alignment . Assist in generating data lineage documentation and support catalogue integration efforts. Provide periodic reports and metrics on metadata completeness, glossary usage, and stewardship activities. Champion metadata awareness and drive data literacy initiatives across business units. Guide adoption and optimization of data governance tools like Ab Initio (Preferred), Informatica, Atlan, or Snowflake . Define roles and responsibilities for data stewards and custodians. Train and evangelize data governance practices across departments. Support audit and compliance reporting through accurate data lineage and usage logs. Ensure business continuity with proper data backup, archival, and purging strategies . Align governance goals with broader digital transformation and analytics strategies . Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Data Governance principles, metadata management, and data stewardship frameworks . Hands-on experience with Business Glossary, Metadata Hub, or metadata management/collaboration tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation). Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Working knowledge of data modelling, data lineage, and data quality concepts . Familiarity with SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, GCP lakes) . Knowledge of Python, Shell Scripting, JSON, Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GCP . Debugging and design skills. Awareness of GenAI, LLM, RAG, Agentic RAG is a plus. Qualifications: BE/B.Tech and/or M.Tech in any discipline. 24 years of experience in metadata governance, business glossary management, and data ownership frameworks . Familiarity with Ab Initio Metadata Hub and Business Glossary is a strong plus. Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data stacks is an advantage. As a seasoned Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning professional with over 6 years of experience, you will be responsible for leveraging your deep understanding of AI and machine learning algorithms, including large language models (LLMs) like Azure OpenAI and Mystral. Your proficiency in deploying LLM on On-Prem or local Server will be crucial in this role. In this position, it is mandatory for you to have a strong grasp of cloud platforms such as Azure for deploying AI solutions and utilizing existing AI capabilities of the cloud platform. Additionally, familiarity with Azure Container Registry, Azure Container Instance, and App Services will be essential. Your programming skills should include strong coding abilities in languages like Python, as well as experience in Fast API, Flask API creation, and integration of APIs from third-party tools such as SNOW and Sharepoint. Proficiency in UI development using Angular, Streamlit, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will also be required. Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other relevant AI/ML libraries to fine-tune models is a must-have for this role. Moreover, familiarity with monitoring tools like Solarwinds, Splunk, and NewRelic will be advantageous. As part of the Data Engineering aspect, you will need to create data flow diagrams and ensure data security at rest and in motion. Collaborating with the team to analyze business data, implement solutions, and ensure data security and compliance will also be part of your responsibilities. In terms of Solution Architecture, you should demonstrate the ability to design and implement scalable AI solutions tailored to business needs. This includes architecture, design development, and walkthroughs with customers. You will also be involved in designing hardware and software requirements to deploy AI solutions for On-Prem or Cloud environments. A good understanding of Multi-factor Authentication is essential for this role. Additionally, the ability to estimate costs for deploying AI solutions on Cloud Platforms will be beneficial.
