Software Engineering Principal Position Overview: The Evernorth Core Platform Engineering team seeks a seasoned and forward-thinking Principal Architect to steer the company in making strategic architecture decisions and offering expert advice that significantly influences our strategic planning. Compatibility Assessment: Evaluate the compatibility and integration of proposed products/services to ensure a cohesive architecture across interdependent technologies. Business Challenges: Anticipate internal and external business challenges and regulatory issues; suggest improvements in processes, products, or services. Problem Solving: Address unique and complex problems that have a significant impact on the business. Project Leadership: Lead cross-departmental project teams to accomplish milestones and objectives successfully. Industry Authority: Serve as the organization's external representative, recognized as an expert and thought leader in architecture. Technical Leadership: Offer technical leadership across major departments or multiple departments within a function. Qualifications: - Deep understanding and experience in designing and implementing Packaged Business Capabilities and Composable Architecture. - Extensive experience in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. - Expertise in evolutionary design principles to ensure systems can adapt to changing requirements. - Proficiency in design thinking methodologies to foster innovative solutions. - Extensive experience with AWS and its various services. - Proficiency in Golang, Typescript, and Python. Polyglot programming skills are essential. - Strong background in data engineering practices and technologies. - Familiarity with generative AI and agentic architecture. Experience: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 18 to 20 years of IT architecture experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. - Relevant certifications in AWS, architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), and other related areas are advantageous. - Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. - Healthcare experience and knowledge of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource) are beneficial. Location & Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week with an expectation of overlapping with US hours as needed.
