The role of an Intern Thermal Engineer based in Whitefield, Bengaluru involves working on advanced heat exchanger design for gas turbines. As a Thermal Analysis Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in flow, thermal, and structural analysis with a focus on performance, durability, and manufacturability. Your responsibilities will include developing 1D network models in Python for heat exchanger performance estimation, conducting Aerothermal & Conjugate Heat Transfer (CFD/CHT) analysis, supporting design engineers in optimizing performance, weight, cost & reliability, and performing FEA-based structural analysis for stress, deformation & fatigue life. To qualify for this role, you should have a B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Thermal, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering. A strong understanding of Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Materials & Manufacturing is essential. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of Aerothermal, Thermal-structural & Mechanical analysis, and demonstrate a passion for hands-on problem-solving and adaptability in a start-up environment. Preferred skills for this role include experience with CFD/CHT tools such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, familiarity with FEA tools, and basic CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred).
