Job Description Summary Project Management/ Planning/ Coordinating activities typically in the context of a timely delivery of Turnkey Project. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities The Project Manager will manage & delivery Turnkey projects for Electrical & Power Utilities (India/Global) Project execution and Controls includes Planning, Procurement, Factory integration & Testing, Site installation & Commissioning for Customer Projects which includes multiple deliverables like GE Software Solutions (AEMS, ADMS, GIS), Control Centres Hardware/IT infra, Substation related equipment, Third Party Solutions Manage the project budget and timeline and ensure the resources are available to complete the project within budget and on time to meet customer obligations Translate customer needs / requirements into detailed project plans while driving internal execution to meet project targets Manage a network of resources (including contractors) in support of project execution. Identify opportunities to expand the project in ways that bring value to our customer and satisfy GE profitability requirements. Negotiate change orders with the customers Take part in the writing of reports that describe the results of a project. Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining project documentation and reports Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators Ensure proper Lessons Learned exercises and be part of the continuous improvement initiative Participate in the development of proposals for projects Ensure that delivered products and services achieve highest quality and performance levels Ensure projects OTD (On Time Delivery) while also continuously striving to improve projects TTV (Time To Value). Professionally represent GE during all customer communications Lead Small Projects independently and/or support Senior Project Manages in handling large & complex Turnkey projects Required Qualifications Bachelor&aposs degree in engineering from an accredited university or college. Degree in Electrical/Power System/Electronics is preferred At least 2 to 5 years of experience in project planning, project management, engineering, or data analyst Any Project Management Certification (like PMP) and or any Finance certification is preferred Desired Characteristics Strong Analytical skills Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues Ability working within a matrix organization and with minimum supervision The ability to work across different functions and sub regions Strong oral and written communication skills (Fluent in English) Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to prioritize activities and respect deadlines Established analytical and project management ability Knowledge of contract structure and familiarity with contractual terms required (T&Cs). Understanding of accounting/financial principles with the ability to create and analyse financial and project reports. Strong PC skills required, including use of standard MS Office applications. You will be part of scrum team and be responsible for requirement analysis, software customization, integration, testing and documentation. Roles and Responsibilities In this role, you will: Work in a scrum team to implement WAMS capability for electricity flow orchestration for GEs customers. Provide technical leadership on Java-Spring boot and related technologies on cloud and to develop this next gen capabilities. Proven expertise in frontend development using Angular (version 8+ preferred). Work on AWS and Kubernetes technologies to deploy these next gen capabilities. Experience managing Kubernetes deployments using Helm charts Experience with unit testing, mocking frameworks, and test containers Strong experience with message streaming and event-driven systems using Kafka. Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases Proficiency with version control and collaborative development using GitHub Familiarity with basic Linux commands for system operations. Familiarity with managing build processes using Maven. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and project management with Azure DevOps. Familiarity with Jenkins for automating builds and deployments Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques Understand customer requirements if interfaces and existing product features and develop customization to address desired functionality using the technology selected for the project Understand performance parameters and assess application performance Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using language of choice Working with global team of experts, build the local teams expertise and create higher positive impact on the services project implementations. Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness Required Qualifications: Position requires a masters degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Electrical Engineering + 8 years of experience in a related power systems occupation. The position also requires: 5 years of experience in delivering software projects/services; 2 years of experience in leading project deliveries in Wide Area Measurement System (WAMS) applications; 3 years of experience with electric utility industry practices; 3 years of experience with grid stability; 3 years of experience with Phasor Measurement Units; 3 years of experience with power systems with a focus on WAMS applications like Phasor analytics or Linear State Estimator. Advanced experience with micro-services architecture and web services (REST, SOAP) Advanced experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Experience with web development using JavaScript, ideally TypeScript and Angular Experience/Strong understand of designing web applications in distributed architectures Proficiency and understanding in key algorithms and data structures, Proficiency working in both Windows/Linux environment Working knowledge in databases, SQL preferably. Hands-on experience in writing Unit test automation Hands on experience in a scripting language Python or/And PowerShell and package manager like Conan, Source Control Tools like Git Hands-on experience in Microservices & AWS (Added advantage) Familiarity with CI/CD and Azure DevOps pipelines Ready to work in existing product, strong troubleshooting/debugging skill, resolving complex technical & customer feedback Experience working in Power Grid Domain in products like AEMS is a plus.
