Senior Backend & AI Developer (Project Lead) At AdvocateGPT , we are building India’s next big LegalTech startup, an AI-powered platform designed to revolutionise how legal professionals work with documents, data, and clients. We’re looking for a Senior Backend & AI Developer (Project Lead) to take ownership of our backend systems and AI pipelines. Responsibilities Architect and develop robust backend systems for our AI-driven legal platform. Build and optimise APIs using Python + FastAPI . Design scalable document retrieval systems using Vector Databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate). Implement LangChain pipelines for legal document search and summarisation. Integrate secure payment systems (Razorpay, Cashfree, etc.). Ensure data security, authentication, and compliance for sensitive legal and payment data. Collaborate with frontend engineers, product team, and legal advisors to ship impactful features. Mentor interns/junior developers as the team expands. Required Skills & Qualities Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in Python with FastAPI framework. Hands-on experience with Vector Databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate). Familiarity with LangChain or similar LLM/AI orchestration frameworks. Solid understanding of API design, microservices, and scalable architectures . Experience integrating payment gateways and third-party APIs. Strong knowledge of security, authentication, and compliance best practices . Background in AI/ML, NLP, or large language models (LLMs) . Additional Skills & Qualities: Ability to mentor and guide junior developers . Strong communication and presentation skills . Proactive, hardworking, and a go-getter attitude . Experience : 1–3 years of experience in growth, business development, partnerships, or marketing —preferably in a startup, SaaS, or legal-tech environment .(Exceptional freshers with a proven track record of internships, projects, or entrepreneurial experience are also welcome.) Strong communication, networking, and presentation skills. Ability to lead small teams and coordinate across functions. Working knowledge of email marketing, CRM tools, SEO basics , and social media campaigns. A creative + data-driven approach to growth and partnerships. An adaptable, entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable wearing multiple hats in a startup environment.
