The Manager of Research and Development - EV will report to the Deputy General Manager - R&D within the R&D department. The ideal candidate should hold a minimum Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with 7-10 years of experience in automotive R&D focusing on electric vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the R&D team specialized in developing electric 3-wheeler autorickshaws. Your key tasks will include developing and implementing R&D strategies aligned with company objectives, fostering innovation and collaboration within the team, and guiding engineers through the vehicle development stages. Your primary duties will involve encouraging professional growth among team members, overseeing the entire R&D process from concept to production, ensuring projects meet quality and performance standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will guide the team through certification processes and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for innovation, staying updated on electric vehicle technology trends, and continuously improving existing products and processes. The ideal candidate should possess proven experience in leading R&D teams and projects, a strong understanding of electric powertrain systems, proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong leadership and communication abilities.
